Vermouth La Copa is a historical brand of González Byass company from 1896 that was renewed in June 2016. Thanks to archives, its original recipe and label has been preserved, inspiring contemporary La Copa. The label itself is based on a period design that has been preserved in the archive.
LA COPA ROJO
The basis of La Copa vermouth is the 8-year old mixture of Oloroso sherry wine combined with Pedro Ximénez into which carefully selected macerated herbal extracts are added, including artemisia, cloves, orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, angelica. At the beginning, you will smell the soft aroma of red-orange and cloves. Its flavour is dominated by the typicality of Pedro Ximénez variety harmonized with the tones of cinnamon and artemisia. Soft herbs and spice literally finish the artistic tasting experience.
It tastes delicious chilled, served separately, with soda or on crushed ice. It is a key ingredient of many famous cocktails. Try Negroni from The London No 1 gin, La Copa vermouth and Campari.
LA COPA EXTRA SECO
This extra dry vermouth is based on very dry sherry Fino and selected botanicals. Highly elegant and intensive vermouth. Citrus aromas are perfectly balanced with the bitterness of artemisia and savory. Red berries add a long-lasting fruity balsamic aftertaste.
Bitterness: artemisia, savory, red berries.
Softness: Cloves, orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg.
La Copa extra seco is an ideal aperitive that we recommend serving with ice or soda. It also stands out in many mixed drinks such as the iconic Manhattan cocktail.
